Studies suggest that the mid-Atlantic will sink approximately 1 foot over the next 100 years. The 2100 max. pred. SLR (4ft) is compared with and without accounting for this subsidence.

In a Full Dune Analysis, this dune seen in the Satellite Basemap is similar in height to the one planned, and a frequency graph shows the dune has many values above 12.75ft. The dune is mostly out of the water at 8.43ft, yet submerged at 13ft.

ANALYSES
Bridges and piers were digitized over.
Go to the Introduction section to learn about this. That should have been your first stop. Guess you must have chickened out and not "gone in the water."
Actually it wasn't really digitization -- which in GIS is the manual drawing and creation of digital features to represent true objects, due to shortcomings of the technology. Instead, it was referred to, then extrapolated.

Marshes fluctuate in how much water they have. They were counted as a possible entry for water.

"Dumb" ModelCounts pixels to be flooded if they fall below the raised water level. This is dumb, since it will say the ocean has flooded places that the water couldn't get to in the first place. |
8-Neighbor ModelThis is what NOAA used. I did not use this, but an adapted version of it. |
8-Neighbor ModelThis is the adaption that was used for the 8-NB process. Considers hydrologic connectivity if two adjacent flooded pixels share a corner or an edge. |
